The big and bustling Spanish city of Valencia is an intriguing mix of the old and the new. A place where grand Spanish buildings share the streets with examples of modern architecture. Its most famous export is Paella, now eaten worldwide and its festival the Fallen is a major high spot on the Spanish fiesta calendar. With both business and tourist visitors traveling to the city on a regular basis the choice of Valencia five star hotels is impressive and covers smart business hotels, traditional pensions and hotels located on the Mediterranean itself.

The monumental heritage of the city is dense, with its most famous site being the Llotja de Seda. This Gothic style building was built in the late 1400s and is undoubtedly one of the main tourist attractions in the city. The purpose of this grand structure has always been trading and silk was the last product to be bartered for in its impressive halls. Other sites to visit in the city include the Cathedral, The Seo. It is located in the center of what was once the Roman area of the city on a site once believed to have been dedicated to the worship of the Goddess Diana. Creation of the building took place over many years and contains four smaller chapels that sit to either side of the main building. The interior of the cathedral contains many famous paintings and a beautiful renaissance chapel is tucked away behind the larger Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.

Not many cities can boast a hospital as a major tourist attraction but the old hospital in this city has a long and colorful history and has some fine examples of Spanish architecture. There are many Medieval Churches throughout the city and the numerous squares and gardens are ideal places for finding some shade on a hot Mediterranean afternoon.

Culture lovers are well catered for with the numerous museums that are spread through the city. One of the most famous is the Ciutat des les Arts i les Ciences- the Museum of Art and Science. This is one of the new structures of the city and the dome shaped building is now classed as the most important tourist venue in the city. Another striking modern structure is the Palau des arts Rene Sofia which holds many musical and operatic events. Those spending time in a Valencia five star hotel who admire literature will enjoy a trip to the House museum of the author Ibanez. Most famous in the English speaking world for his Four Horseman of the Apocalypse this screen writer is one of the most prominent literary figures in Spain.

The city is full of life and there is plenty to see and do here; choosing which of the Valencia five star hotels to stay in can be quite a challenge and location will play a big part. For those who wish to be near the sea then there are hotels located on Valencia's beaches. These offer the chance to combine a city break with a beach holiday without changing location during the stay. These hotels offer all the facilities of a summer beachfront location and have swimming pools with sun loungers and access to the beach. Being close to such a major city means that these hotels offer a wide range of facilities including Spa centers, gymnasiums and even Business Centers. Internet access is usually available in public places and in certain rooms and the hotels operate Tour desks to help the visitor arrange trips to Valencia's many attractions

Inside the heart of the city visitors have a choice of Valencia five star hotels that range from boutique hotels, traditional buildings and modern business type properties. All offer quality facilities with satellite television channels and en suite bathrooms. Some rooms offer mini bars and most have tea and coffee making facilities. Car hire can usually be organized through the hotels as can airport transfers to and from the region's airports. Getting around the city isn't easy as it is a big place but there is an excellent public transport system and first time visitors are advised to use the information available at the hotels to arrange visits to the city's major venues.
